Cobweb Hens and Chicks is a mat-forming evergreensucculent that forms tight rosettes of thick fleshy green foliage tipped with silvery connected hairs resembling cobwebs that take a purple tint in sun or cold. The mother rosette (hen) spreads out with horizontal stems to seed offsets (chicks). An infrequent flowerer that may take years to bloom, but when it does will put up a thick stalk sporting clusters in summer. The hen dies after flowering, giving space for the chicks to grow. Best color withfull sunand dry to medium well-drained soils. Drought and heat tolerant once established.
