This is a Schedule 80 Van Stone Flange with a 8 inch slip connection. The Schedule 80 Van Stone flanges are constructed of Rigid Poly (Vinyl Chloride) (PVC) Compounds and Chlorinated Poly Vinyl Chloride (CPVC) Compounds. Schedule 80 fittings are manufactured to ASTM D 2467 standards.This PVC flange complies with the perimeters specified in ANSI B16.5 for bolt patterns. Maximum pressure rating is 150 PSI at 73 degrees F with a maximum operating temperature of 140 degrees F.
A Van Stone flange is a two-piece flange with a rotating, loose ring that makes bolt alignment simple. It makes disassembly easier than a one-piece flange. The fasteners can be tightened or loosened without moving or twisting the attached pipes. They fit Schedule 80 piping and fittings, which have thicker walls than Schedule 40 and are rated for higher-pressure applications.
