The Pentair 87300130 6″ Beige Valve Lid is a straight OEM replacement for worn or damaged valve tops on select Pentair 6-inch valve bodies. Over time, UV and pressure cycles will chalk and crack the original lid, which can loosen the clamp and let the seal relax. Dropping a new factory lid onto the existing clamp and O-ring restores a solid, even seal and keeps the internal parts safely covered.

If you are already rebuilding or servicing the valve, this is the time to swap the lid. It is a simple part, but it is also what holds the top of the valve together under pressure; once it is brittle or bowed, you are running on borrowed time.

Pro Tip

Anytime the valve is apart for O-ring replacement or internal service, inspect the lid closely. Hairline cracks around the clamp area or a visibly bowed top are enough reason to replace it. Lube the O-ring lightly with a PTFE-based pool lube, torque the clamp evenly, and bring the system up to pressure while watching the lid and band area for weeping.
