The WindSafe 1500 in a 5-blade, low-wind configurationbuilt for long-term professional use in unattended conditions where average wind speed is consistently under 5 m/s. Its rotor sits on a movable platform that automatically raises the entire structure 90 degrees in gusts, angling the blades away from the wind to protect the turbine mechanically.
5-blade tradeoff: This configuration starts turning earlier in weak, irregular wind, but creates more resistance at higher wind speedsexpect up to 35% less output than the 3-blade version once wind speed picks up.
